I request pictures & video prior to your first appointment to assess muscle compensations, posture, & gait. I mark up at least one and explain what I am seeing and what the plan is to help improve it. I palpate and share findings. Then simple groundwork training exercises from BTMM(TM) are taught to the horse to gently release compensations and begin to develop the biomechanically correct muscles. Training exercises are taught to you and assigned as homework.
These are Follow Up Appointments to assess progress and make adjustments and refinements to the originally assigned training exercises. May also include brief Bodywork to release blocked areas. Development takes time & commitment so exercises will continue to be assigned as homework.
Full-body massage for your dog from head to the tail on both sides. Will include Compression, Percussion, Cross-fiber Friction, Myofascial Release, Kneading, Palpation, and Deep Treatment. May include use of Red-light Therapy (Aah! Light) and Acupressure, Reiki, and stretches. Local area for dogs is Middlebury/ Vergennes to Burlington. Each session is 1.5 to 1.75 hours.
Local area for horses is 40 driving miles from Bristol, VT (80 miles roundtrip). For dogs local area is Middlebury/ Vergennes to Burlington unless I am already traveling for a horse.
